German company LANCOM Systems introduces the 1780EW-3G, a business VPN router with HSPA+ and support for 802.11n wireless LAN. The router has integrated UMTS/HSPA+ modem to use cellular networking for broadband Internet connectivity and 802.11a/g/n wireless LAN radio module with support for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands, to provide wireless local networking at 300 Mbps.
The LANCOM 1780EW-3G has 5 VPN channels as standard and it operates as a central IPsec VPN gateway offering highly secure AES encryption and digital-certificate support. It supports 802.11i, WPA, WPA2, VPN security fuinction as well as 802.1x and TACACS+ for additional security. The router has a Gigabit Ethernet and a Fast Ethernet interface, which can be used for connecting an external modem.
LANCOM 1780EW-3G business VPN router will be available for Euro 749.
